Wordsmithery

Paul Ransom began publishing in the independent arts media in 1992. Since then he’s published truckloads of stuff in mags, on websites and in various journals around Australia, in the UK, US and China.

He has also created copy for government departments, record labels, indie rock bands, lactation consultants, dance companies, film festivals, fashion houses, real estate agents, wellbeing spas, cafes & restaurants, and much more besides (inc: Chinese Communist Party mouthpieces and avant garde cartoon creators). Lots of people basically.

Here’s a little cross section of stuff – cos, y’know, the boy is waaaay versatile. Clearly.

Oh and here’s one of his hilariously clichéd but weirdly successful real estate blurbs:

  • Live the resort lifestyle right here in the West! This large contemporary 4 bed/2 bath home in the exclusive Sanctuary Lakes estate offers everything from 24/7 monitored security to the convenience of onsite gyms, pools, tennis courts and childcare. Right from the spacious entry hall to the large kitchen, formal dining area, covered alfresco deck, huge double garage and low maintenance garden, this sleek family home exudes style & smarts. The double vanity ensuite in the master bed, the 3 separate living areas and the cost-savvy ducted temperature control prove the point. Situated in a quiet court, this gorgeous modern home is adjacent to lakefront walking trails and falls within the sought after Seabrook Primary School zone. Oh and there’s guest parking for 4; so there’s plenty of room for entertaining.

Go figure, huh?
